Technical Asset Manager - Renewable Energy (m/f/d)

Join the multinational and enthusiastic team of MPC Capital, an internationally growing asset and investment manager. Our focus is on tangible asset investments (real assets used as investment property) in the core segments Renewables, Shipping and Real Estate.
We are looking for a Technical Asset Manager (m/f/d) to join our international asset management team. The position can be based in Panama City, Panama.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for technical asset management of our renewable energy investments
- Manage and challenge local operator staff, O&M provider, and other technical service contractors to meet agreed quality, deadlines, operational efficiency and budgets
- Perform regular site visits and meetings with local stakeholders such as communities, regulators, off-taker, contractors, etc.
- Lead technical performance analysis to identify issues and implement technical optimization measures to improve operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with applicable energy regulation, environmental laws, health and safety standards, permits, grid access etc. as well as with internal Environmental and Social Management System
- Diligent contract management and administration of key operational contracts such as PPA, O&M, insurance, land lease etc.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly asset management reporting and ensure relevant information flow to stakeholders such regulator, grid operator, off-taker, banks, environmental agencies etc.
- Support investment team during due diligence and acquisition of new assets
- Develop and implement operating strategy and manage on-boarding of newly acquired assets
- Maintain and enhance the risk monitoring and register in place
- Facilitate innovation and drive the digitalization incl. software, tools and new approaches
You fit best with us if…
- you have relevant work experience in technical asset management in the renewable energy sector with profound techno-commercial understanding of key technologies and the energy market.
- you are qualified in electrical, civil or mechanical engineering.
- you have regulatory knowledge of the electricity sector, both for large-scale projects and distributed generation projects.
- you are fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken), German would be a plus.
- you have strong communication and presentation skills.
- you have an entrepreneurial mind-set and you are independent, self-starting, full of energy and curious.
- you are high proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Power Point.
