Research Analyst (m/f/d) - Shipping

For the different teams and companies it is essential to always be up to date on current market developments and evolving trends to ensure a profound basis for decision-making.
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our team at our location in Hamburg as soon as possible.
As part of our research team, you will have the opportunity to participate in interesting analyses of the different markets and to actively contribute your ideas. Your tasks:
- Extensive research on developments in the shipping market and other related information streams including data analysis and the evaluation of various publications
- Writing market reports and research publications to show trends and interdependencies in the global shipping market
- Preparing presentations for management and investors using different tools (MS Power Point, Think Cell, Power BI)
- Developing and adding value to our proprietary databases, working to improve the robustness of key data products in all shipping segments
- Building analytical expertise and technical skills through learning and development opportunities, with a view to developing the capability to take on increased responsibility
Your profile:
- Successfully completed studies with a Shipping / Maritime related degree or training as Shipping clerk
- Alternatively, you have a degree in Economics with a focus on statistics, international trade or a similar degree
- Strong interest in the shipping industry and experience in data analysis.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- High affinity towards IT tools and data management
- Strong analytical skills as well as a detail-oriented way of working
